RECOMMENDED READING
The following books are highly recommended - in fact I consider the first book to be essential reading. They should be available from your local Library.
“Give Your Dog a Bone”, Dr Ian Billinghurst. This is a must. It explains how and why a dog should be fed naturally. His latest book “The BARF Diet” is also very good.
“The Complete Herbal Book for Dogs and Cats”, by Juliette de Bairacli-Levy. One of the earliest advocates of natural rearing.
"Dr. Pitcairn's Complete Guide to Natural Health for Dogs & Cats" - Richard H. Pitcairn. World recognised and often quoted.
"Lets have healthy dogs" - Helen Catherine Cramer. An Australian breeder of collies for many years.
"Canine Nutrition Naturally" - Kathleen A. Griffin
“Raw Meaty Bones promote health” by Tom Lonsdale
“Dog Training the Gentle Modern Method”, by David Weston. By far one of the best.
Homoeopathic books
The Homoeopathic Treatment of Small Animals (Principles & Practice) - Christopher Day
Dogs: Homoeopathic Remedies - George Macleod
A veterinary Materia Medica and Clinical Repertory - George Macleod
Homoeopathic Medicine for dogs - a handbook for Vets & Pet Owners - HG Wolff
Bach Flower Remedies for Animals - Helen Graham & Gregory Vlamis
Bach Flower Remedies for Animals - Stefan Ball & Judy Howard.
Catherine O’Dricoll is the author of the book ‘What Vets Don’t Tell You about Vaccines’ - this was used as the basis of a World in Action TV documentary.
